The Municipality of L'Aquila joins the European Mobility Week 2026, promoted by the European Commission, with a rich program of events from 16 to 22 September 2026 on the theme "Intergenerational Mobility". The program includes the official opening on 16 September at Palazzo Fibbioni, a 15 km bike ride, themed film screenings, the road safety campaign "Bicycle Heroes" in schools, and the Mobility Village with Parking Day and World Car-Free Day on 19 and 20 September at Largo Giovanni Pischedda and Piazza San Bernardino, with stands, sports activities, games and musical performances.

Il XXVII Cammino di Fraternità delle Confraternite d'Italia è un evento religioso che si svolge nelle giornate del 19 e 20 settembre 2026 nelle strade del centro storico dell'Aquila. La manifestazione prevede una serie di eventi e processioni che richiameranno un gran numero di partecipanti e fedeli. Il percorso toccherà diverse vie e piazze cittadine, tra cui via dell'Arcivescovado, via San Bernardino, piazza Bariscianello, Corso Principe Umberto e Viale Gran Sasso. In occasione dell'evento, il Comune ha disposto specifiche misure di regolamentazione della viabilità per garantire lo svolgimento in sicurezza della manifestazione.

On the Balcony of Gran Sasso: Monte Brancastello, Cima Vado del Piaverano, Pizzo San Gabriele

Guided hike along the panoramic ridge of Gran Sasso, touching the peaks of Monte Brancastello (2385 m), Cima Vado del Piaverano (2327 m) and Pizzo San Gabriele (2214 m). The route develops on a natural balcony suspended between Campo Imperatore and the Adriatic Sea, offering spectacular views of the surrounding peaks. Elevation gain 600-650 m, duration 4-5 hours of walking, difficulty E for trained hikers. Steady footing and no vertigo required in short exposed sections. Quarta edizione del festival letterario che porta idee, pensieri e una chiara visione del mondo nel capoluogo abruzzese e nella provincia. Il programma prevede dibattiti, mostre e presentazioni librarie, con la partecipazione di associazioni locali. L'evento si svolge in Piazza del Teatro e, dal 23 al 27 settembre, anche al Ridotto "Vittorio Antonellini" del Teatro comunale.
