On Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 6:30 PM, "Cummar a fiure", a site-specific installation by artist Alice Minervini curated by Andrea Croce and MariaTeresa Daniele, opens on the Terrazza Belvedere in Cellino Attanasio (TE). The work is part of the seventh edition of "Una Boccata d'Arte", a widespread project that brings twenty contemporary art interventions to as many Italian villages. The installation is inspired by the ancient Abruzzo tradition of "Commare a fiore", celebrated during the summer solstice, and will be open to visitors until October 4, 2026.

La Scuola di Barbizon: le radici dell'Impressionismo

For the first time in a comprehensive way, the Museo dell'Ottocento in Pescara exhibits the French core of the Di Persio-Pallotta collection. About 120 works trace the birth and development of the Barbizon School, the movement that in the mid-19th century revolutionized landscape painting by taking easels outdoors and studying the effects of natural light. A decisive legacy for the birth of Impressionism. The exhibition is part of the Settimana Dannunziana 2026 program and is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and the National Research Council.

The Pescara Liberty Festival 2026 celebrates Art Nouveau art and culture with exhibitions, music and shows from 7 to 17 September in Piazza Sacro Cuore. The music series takes place from 8 to 12 September at 9 pm, with free admission until full capacity. Among the artists scheduled: Danilo Rea, Dado Moroni and the Jánoška Ensemble.
