XXIX Rievocazione Storica I Caldoreschi nell'Anno del Signore 1450

Back in Pacentro is the 29th edition of the Historical Reenactment "I Caldoreschi. Anno del Signore 1450", an event that for six days animates the historic center of the Abruzzo village. The event evokes the atmosphere of the 15th century with processions, shows and scenes of medieval life, involving the main streets and squares of the town. The evenings are enriched by entertainment and historical reenactment moments, with particular attention to the figure of Jacopo Caldora. To ensure safety and the proper conduct of the events, parking and transit bans are planned in the affected areas, with diversions of vehicular traffic.

Every first weekend of September, Pacentro renews an ancient ritual: the Corsa degli Zingari. Participants, barefoot, challenge each other in a race that climbs from the historic center to the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Loreto, combining athleticism and devotion in a single, intense event. The tradition, handed down for centuries, mixes sacred and profane: the effort of the climb becomes an act of faith, while the village comes alive with celebration and colors. The event attracts believers, curious visitors, and folk tradition enthusiasts every year.
