Ceremony for the conferral of Honorary Citizenship to Don Luigi Ciotti

The Municipality of Castelguidone confers honorary citizenship to Don Luigi Ciotti, founder of Libera and a leading figure in the fight against mafias. The ceremony takes place on Friday, August 28 at 6:00 PM in Piazza Plebiscito, at the end of the XIII Day of Legality, Commitment and Responsibility, promoted by the School of Training for Social and Political Commitment "Paolo Borsellino" with the Caritas of Abruzzo and Molise. After the ceremony, the administration offers a reception open to all participants.
13th DAY OF LEGALITY, COMMITMENT AND RESPONSIBILITY

The thirteenth edition of the Day of Legality, Commitment and Responsibility will take place on 28 August 2026 in Castelguidone. Promoted by the "Paolo Borsellino" School of Training for Social and Political Commitment and by the Caritas of Abruzzo and Molise, it combines civil reflection and spirituality. The morning opens with a moment of prayer and meditation, followed by the Eucharistic concelebration. In the afternoon there will be a round table with guests of national importance: journalist Marco Damilano, former Prime Minister Romano Prodi and Father Pio Luigi Ciotti, founder of Libera. At the end of the proceedings, the Municipal Administration will award honorary citizenship to Father Ciotti.
